This racism is so obvious, you should not have any problems winning your case. Sue the district, call news stations, write letters to your news paper letting them know what's going. It's hard to believe this is happening in the year 2007, are you talking about Whittier, California ??

For example check this out, when whites and minorities with the same test scores apply to law school, the relative odds of minorities being accepted are significantly higher. Statistical analysis done by the plaintiffs on the entering class of 2000 found that the relative odds of an African American student being admitted were 443 times the relative odds of a white student being admitted; for Puerto Ricans, the relative odds for admittance were 29 times the odds for a white student; for a native American 25; and for a Mexican American, the relative odds were 17 higher.

i live in houston, texas and its basically the same as LA, but it just depends on what part of texas you go to. some schools have really stuck up people, some have really racist people. my school has a lot of hispanics and whites, some asians and some blacks. we have a dress code but not a uniform…we can wear jeans and a collared shirt or a spirit shirt with our schools name on it.

Everyone seems to be missing the point. This is not a good thing in my eyes. Just like they have made that schools name Spanish (which has nothing to do with a famous person or event), they will make Spanish the number one language in that school. I wish everyone would stop trying to hide behind the truth. If there were 12 to 20 million Africans or Haitians illegally coming to the U.S., even the illegals would be trying to send them back home. This is the United States of America & it should be appreciated as such! No amnesty! Deport all illegals!!!

that was actually common in my school too. there was a riot between black and mexican students. the "ghetto" black kids(not all just the ignorant ones and don't saying i'm being stereotypical because i witnessed it with my own eyes and was harassed by them too!) would always congregate in large numbers(i'm talking like 20 or more) in the halls and if you tried to pass to get to your class they'd give you a hard time. they pretty much went out of there way to be loud and intimidating to anyone who wasn't like them. they were even mean to other black kids they perceived as "white-wash"(i hate that term by the way and don't think it exists). they had ego problems, that's all i can say. i know this doesn't reflect all black people, but it exist out there, so don't sugarcoat it and think they are exempt from wrong-doing!

During segregation, Hispanics were a small demographic minority like Indians except in Texas and maybe California, and they had their own separate districts like blacks did.
