JPMorgan Chase to Raise Fees on Credit Cards – Bloomberg

JPMorgan Chase to Raise Fees on Credit Cards - Bloomberg

Not too many people know this, but there are over 900 different Chase credit cards for consumers to choose from! Yes, the number you read is correct. With most of these cards being “affinity” cards, meaning having direct tie-ins with a store, or with an auto manufacturer, you name it the choices for consumers are bountiful. A little overwhelming too, don’t you think? To cut to the chase, pun intended, there are three Chase credit cards that stand above the rest. Let’s take a closer look at each one and what each has to offer to you.

Chase Platinum for the Ultimate Credit Card

Chase Platinum – As the name suggests, this is the one of the most popular cards offered by Chase. It also is the most power packed one at that! Available to you as the Chase Platinum MasterCard or as the Chase Platinum VISA card, this card really delivers: 0% APR for the first 12 months; no annual fee; a fixed low rate after the introductory period ends; and lots of nifty benefits. You get travel accident insurance coverage, lost luggage insurance, purchase assurance, and extended warranties on many of your purchases. Practical and smart coverage for the traveling consumer!

Put Some Money in Your Wallet With a Chase Cash Plus Card

Chase Cash Plus – Like the Platinum card, you also get 0% APR for the first 12 months and avoid the annual fee. With the Chase Cash Plus card, you get 1% cash back on all purchases, but Chase bumps that amount up to 5% when you charge your gas, groceries, and drugstore purchases! Even better, for every 5,000 points earned, you can redeem them for either a $50 check or a $50 gift certificate from a variety of top notch merchants. Clearly, if it is money back that you want then the Chase Cash Plus card is the one for you.

Frequent Fliers Love the Chase Value Miles Card

Chase Value Miles – Are you a jetsetter? A true road warrior? If so, why not make your trips work for you? The Chase Value Miles card was created for frequent travelers just like you. Besides the 0% APR for the first 12 months and no annual fee, card holders reap big benefits in the form of one airline mile for every dollar spent! Best of all, there are no blackout periods so you can use your miles at any time and Chase kicks in a cool $500,000 travel insurance too. Travel to Los Angeles, Paris, Singapore, Cape Town, or to wherever you want to go.

So, there you have it…900 choices narrowed down to the top three. Whichever Chase credit card you select, maximize your choice to get the most you can out of it. Cash, points, free air miles…the choice is yours and a Chase credit card can help you get what you want for free!

Friends Don’t Let Friends Use Chase Credit

CHASE is the WORST. Taking taxpayers money and more than doubling our minimum payments from 2-5%. They do this on low interest balance transfer loans to get them paid off faster and/or negotiate you to a higher rate to restore the 2% minimum payment. . These people cannot be trusted. Do NOT let them open branches in your community with taxpayer money, they are PREDATORS.

FRIENDS DON’T LET FRIENDS USE CHASE CREDIT

OK PLEASE POST/REPOST – pass it on

Today, Chase is one of the top credit card issuers in the U.S. Its evolution was driven in part by a string of mergers, with Chase growing through various acquisitions involving a number of banks over the years.

Its good to know that I am not the only person who hates getting screwed over by big business….I am so on your side with this one! If everyone was smart enough to stand up for their rights as consumers, maybe we wouldn't have such common practices like this. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!

“it allows you to buy and get out as fast as you can”.this is great so you can make it on time to send in a payment on your balance on which they’re charging 30% APR PLUS almost FRAUDULENT late fees! or even better you can make it home just in time for a phone call from their collection department.chase and all chase executives can STICK THIS BLINK CARD UP THEIR BLINK CORPORATE ASS!

YUP.. Happened to me and at least 2 other friends of mine just this past month. Chase Bank is unfairly charging late fee by changing your due date and other predatory lending practices. Unlike other credit card companies Chase Bank is very stubborn.

This is what you need to do. Call them to ask them for a reversal. You will get denied. Record date of this call.
Call them back again – you will get denied a 2nd time. Ask for their manager. He may or may not refund you but he will not change your late payment history. Record date of this call.

File a complaint with http://BBB.org enter you zip code and click File a complaint button. Look up J.P. Morgan Chase by entering their customer service number 800-432-3117

  • Just another tracking device.they’ll know where you are at all times.

I have been to this web site: http://www.creditcardatoz.com/chase.asp It's one of the best credit card websites to compare and apply for credit cards like Chase, Citibank, american express, ect…

  • Bank One was purchased by Chase a couple of years ago.

  • checkun says:

The reason that due dates can change are two fold.

One there aren't 30 days in every month and thus due dates can vary by a couple of days. When you have a long month followed by a short month or vice versa – this can affect billing cycles.

Second, credit card companies do change their business procedures as far as how they assess a billing cycle. If your account terms advise they give you AT LEAST x-days between your statement date and due date – then they can make changes within that realm.

Ultimately if they provide you either an electronic or paper statement the due date does not have to be fixed.

The automatic payment option for at least the minimum payment is a great suggestion.

  • ScaperSteph says:

BTW, this is a stupid idea, but, I’m sure they would want most of their customers mistakenly getting charged passing a checkout. bastards.

  • ScaperSteph says:

Why don’t they dump this crap (stop spending money!) and just lower the freaking interest rate they have been hiking up on WAMU (and old?) customers!!! jerks!

  • cityprof says:

I’m dumping my Chase cards as soon as possible. Blink Chase.
